(1) Jar (n): a container, usually made of glass, used for storing things like jam

(2) Whisk (v): to take something away quickly

(3) Needless (adj): not needed

(4) Terrify (v): to scare

(5) Jostle (v): to push against while moving in a crowd of people

(6) Creep (v): to move very quietly and slowly

(7) Unfamiliar (adj): not known to you

(8) Shelter (n): a place of cover or safety

(9) Hollow (adj): empty on the inside

(10) Encounter (v): to meet or come across

(11) Danger (n): not safe; potentially harmful

(12) Wonder (n): something surprising, beautiful, amazing, etc

(13) Infer (v): to reach a conclusion or opinion from facts/ evidence

(14) Flap (v): to move up and down (like a bird’s wings)

(15) Tear (v): to rip

(16) View (n): things that can be seen from a particular place

(17) Summarize (v): to tell information using fewer words

(18) Handle (v): to be able to deal with something

(19) Amount (n): a quantity of something

(20) Distance (n): a place far away

(21) Describe (v): to say what something is like

(22) Design (n): to plan and make for a specific purpose
