MyView Story
Ending After trudging
through the snow for hours, Rosetsu collapse into a snowbank. He burrows
under the snow and falls asleep. When Rosetsu woke up, he heard a loud
splashing sound. A giant carp was jumping wildly in the middle of a
half-frozen pond. It was trying to reach a sembei – a sweet-salty Japanese
cracker. The carp did not
give up. For the whole day, the carp attempted to reach the cracker. When
evening came, at last, the carp broke the ice, grasped the cracker, and swam
away. Rosetsu laughed and clapped at the carp’s determination. He decided to
return to school. On returning to
school, his sensei informed Rosetsu that his own doubts were holding him
back. He informed him that a great painter doesn’t abandon his paintings for
fear that they won’t be good. With that, Rosetsu went back to painting. He
pushed himself and worked hard. Eventually, he became one of Japan’s greatest
painters. His hard work and diligence had paid off. |
